APPOINTMENTS

Book Online 24/7 download the HotDoc app or visit our website. Urgent medical problems are dealt with each morning from 8am till 8.30am. No appointments are necessary during this time and patients are advised to arrive at the surgery at 8am to be seen.  For routine appointments please ring 4787 7203. Long consultations are available, please tell the receptionist when you make your booking.

AFTER-HOURS

Urgent medical care is available on a 24 hour 7 days a week basis. Please ring the surgery no: 07 47877203 or after hours no: 0429 877 203 to be put through to On Call Doctor. For Chest Pain or other medical emergencies please immediately call Triple 000 to contact the ambulance and you will be taken to Charters Towers Hospital.

HOME VISITS

Home visits are available for regular patients whose condition prevents them attending the surgery. Please ring the surgery during normal office hours and speak to our nursing or reception staff to organise a visit. After speaking with you doctor, our nurse or receptionist will call you back with the date and time that the doctor will be able to do a home visit.

OUR PRACTICE

Donna McIntosh our Practice Manager is available to assist you with any account queries, complaints or suggestions you may have. Our reception staff includes Anne, Jay, Kate, Maree, Sharon, Trish and Vicki.
Karin Hanna our Senior RN leads our Nursing staff includes Angela EN, Deanna RN, Jenny AIN, Karen EN, Kriste SIN, Mariz RN, May EN, Rachel RN, Tammy EN and Vinni RN.  All Staff have experience in a medical environment and are committed to providing you with the best of care. RECALLS & REMINDERS

We offer a recall & reminder system using HotDoc SMS texts stating “you have a health message” are sent out for recalls for results, cervical screening, immunisations, blood tests, diabetes review and many more.  IT IS THE POLICY OF THIS PRACTICE TO ENROL OUR PATIENTS IN THIS SYSTEM UNLESS OTHERWISE ADVISED.  There is an opt out option available.

COMMUNICATION POLICY

Emails and facsimiles are reviewed on a daily basis. For non-urgent calls and inquires a message is taken and the GP will act upon this. Emergency calls will be put straight through to the GP or nurse on duty.

FEES & BILLING ARRANGEMENTS

Settlement of your account is payable at the end of your consultation by cash, cheque, bankcard, MasterCard or visa.  Our system allows you to receive your Medicare rebate immediately if you have a savings or cheque account attached to your Eftpos/Debit Card.  We are a private billing clinic. Discounted fee for eligible Age Pensioners and some Health Care Card holder (NS DIS). Veterans Affairs (DVA), CTG patients, boarding school students and childhood immunisations are bulk billed. Our fees for consultations are displayed on the reception desk.

COMPLAINTS & SUGGESTIONS
