Shingles Vaccine

We continue to have supply issues with Shingles vaccine and can only order a small amount at a time. We cannot take bookings until stock is actually received so please be patient as demand continues to be high. 

Shingrix is available free for First Nations people ≥50, people ≥65 and immunocompromised people ≥18 with specific medical conditions.

We suggest patients phone reception each week to enquire regarding availability of the Shingles vaccine. Once received we will offer a nurse appointment allocate stock accordingly.  

Covid Vaccine

ATAGI recommends a booster dose for adults aged ≥ 75 years if their last COVID-19 vaccine dose or confirmed infection was 6 months ago or longer, and regardless of the number of prior doses received.

Other patients should consider an additional COVID-19 vaccine dose if 6 months have passed since their last dose, after discussion with their Doctor.

Visiting during Covid 19 

Although many restrictions and mandates have been lifted the well-being of our patients and staff continue to be our main priority. As such, patients with respiratory symptoms such as runny nose, headache, cough or sore throat will be asked to do a RAT - regardless of severity.

Appointments can be made for patients without respiratory symptoms, or those with a negative Covid test. Telephone appointments are also available to patients with respiratory symptoms and/or those with positive Covid test results.

Please do not come to the clinic if you have a positive RAT. Make a telehealth appointment to speak to your doctor.

Masks are still required for all face to face appointments.
