Dr Peter Martin is the practice principal. Although retired now, Peter has over 30 years’ experience in general practice having worked in Ayr, Home Hill, Gympie and full time on the Cooloola Coast since 1990.

Since retirement Peter has been able to spend time on community interests such as trying to get the Day Hospital at Tin Can Bay up and running as well as being an active Director of Cooloola Coast Clinic.

Di – Nurse Admin Assistant

Di has been a valued part of the team at Cooloola Coast Clinic for over 15 years. Di is an integral part of the Nursing team assisting with their administrative duties and patient centred care. With a wealth of knowledge of the Practice, Di is also the heart of the Cooloola Coast Clinic

Janelle is our Endorsed Enrolled Nurse and in her own words – “has worked in aged care facilities a lot… worked in Bundaberg base hospital in emergency and the medical wards, did a small stint in surgical ward and also maternity but didn’t like it as I didn’t even get to hold a baby!! I also worked in Paeds for awhile but left cause it was too, too sad….. then moved to Mackay worked in Mackay rehabilitation hospital then moved to Gympie and worked in Gympie private hospital. I now work in the best place ever :D”

Dr Imelda Cabatuando is our senior General Practitioner with a wealth of experience and knowledge. She has been with our practice for over 14 years and loves the local community.

Dr Jesus Lopez

Dr. Jesus Lopez Donado, MBBS, BSc (Hons), PhD, PgCUT, FRACGP
Dr. Jesus Lopez Donado is both a medical educator and GP with close to 20 years experience as an Associate Professor in medical research. He was awarded his PhD from the University of Ulster (UK) and earned his medical degree from Griffith University in Australia.
Dr Lopez enjoys caring for patients of all ages and he has a particular interest in the care of medically complex chronic diseases and mental health conditions. Dr Lopez is qualified as a counsellor and a provider of focused psychological strategies. In addition, he is qualified in minor surgery.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two girls, a chocolate labrador called Blue (?), two cats and seven chooks. He reads the Bible daily as his source of practical wisdom and loves flamenco music. Doctor Lopez is fluent in Spanish.
