Practice Policies
OSHS students – $20.00
Children under 16 years of age, Full pensioners, Vet Affairs card holders and Health Care Card Holders (but not seniors health care card holders) are bulk billed for routine daytime work. Full payment is to be made at the end to the consultation.
HIC online is available and so we can submit your account for reimbursement from Medicare for you.
Referrals
To ensure the best management of your care, we like to discuss your condition before referring you to a specialist. A consultation or telehealth consult is also required for the issuing of repeat referrals to the same doctor. Please note that we are not permitted by law to back-date specialist referrals, so please ensure that you have a current referral before you see the specialist.
Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions without a face to face consultation are available via telehealth. However, as it is often in the best interests of your health to be seen, the issuing of repeat prescriptions this way is at the discretion of the doctor. This applies especially to blood pressure/heart pills, antibiotics, asthma medications etc..
Results
Results of tests and x-rays are usually available within two working days of having the test done. Dr Schlicht will advise you how best to obtain the results when she orders the tests. Another appointment may be needed or the results may be obtained on the phone or by email.
Telephone Enquiries
Dr Schlicht may be contacted by phone during normal sugery hours. If she is with another patient, she will return your call as soon as possible. In the event of an emergency, your call will be put straight through.
Reminder System
This practice is committed to preventive care. You may be sent a reminder notice form time to time offering you preventive health services appropriate to you care. if you do not wish to be part of this system, please let us know.
Privacy
Your medical information is a confidential. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.
Complaints and Suggestions
If you have any suggestions as to possible improvements to the surgery or the service, we are keen to hear from you. Any comments or complaints can be discussed with Dr Schlicht or her staff.
