Fabienne is a registered psychologist with over 15 years experience in the public and private sector. She has a broad knowledge of counselling with different age groups, from adolescents through to the elder community. Over her many years of experience Fabienne has developed an understanding of the particular needs and experiences of individuals who identify as Indigenous, Differently Abled, LGBTIQQP and those from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds.

Fabienne is skilled in a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as evidence-based Relationship Counselling models. She has an interest in working with all couples experiencing challenges and feels that every relationship at every stage can benefit from counselling. Fabienne has a particular interest in the early intervention of Post Natal Depression and has completed the Non-Directive Pregnancy Counselling Training. She favours a flexible approach to counselling, with the belief that every individual is the expert of their own experience.

Peter has over 20yrs experience as a Guidance Officer, working with adolescents in the school environment.  He gained Psychologist registration in 1999, and has been a registered teacher since 1978.  The main presenting issues in his workplace are stress, anxiety, depression, sleep deprivation, gaming addiction, time-management issues, family conflict/dysfunction and peer conflict.  In the school setting he also deals with educational factors which impact students eg subject/career choices/performance.  In addition he assists with verification of students with disabilities via administration of the WISC V and completion of associated report writing.  Over a number of years, he has also worked in private settings with adults presenting with PTSD, alcohol and drug use, anxiety and depression.



Ms Kathy Ballantyne

Kathy is interested in all aspects of Psychology including Children and Young adults therapy, Relationships, and mind-body medicine

Kathy is also a Hypnotherapist. She is trained in the treatment of weight loss using a technique called Virtual Gastric Banding.
Kathy has trained, amongst other things, in Mediation, Triple P Parenting (which assists parents in managing the behaviour of their children), NLP, Trauma recovery techniques and Positive Psychology and Attachment Therapy which uses brain patterns to improve relationships. Kathy has worked extensively as a Psychologist in the rural and outback regions of Australia.
She has worked for Queensland Police and also in the prison at Wacol. For the past 20 years she has had her own practice, Counselling Australia, in Springfield and also in Kenmore Hills. Her approach is to treat the cause instead of the symptoms.

Valda has worked for over 35 years, as an Occupational Therapist (Mental Health) and Child and Family Therapist, in mental health across public, non-government and private sectors. Her area of practice involves work with individuals, parents and families to address the impact of trauma and life stress; including relationship conflicts, daily coping and parenting challenges with children aged from infancy to adolescents.
