Fabienne is a registered psychologist with over 15 years experience in the public and private sector. She has a broad knowledge of counselling with different age groups, from adolescents through to the elder community. Over her many years of experience Fabienne has developed an understanding of the particular needs and experiences of individuals who identify as Indigenous, Differently Abled, LGBTIQQP and those from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds.

Fabienne is skilled in a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as evidence-based Relationship Counselling models. She has an interest in working with all couples experiencing challenges and feels that every relationship at every stage can benefit from counselling. Fabienne has a particular interest in the early intervention of Post Natal Depression and has completed the Non-Directive Pregnancy Counselling Training. She favours a flexible approach to counselling, with the belief that every individual is the expert of their own experience.


Ms Melissa McCormick –Psychologist

Mel deals with Adult and Child psychology.  She currently works as a Family Intervention Practitioner and works closely with the Department of Child Safety and families involved with the department to help parents get their children back into their full time care. Mel is trained in Circle of Security and Bringing Up Great Kids. She will be able to see kids and parents who need parenting support under the GPMHCP if they are eligible for the GPMHCP (the child/parent/both)

Psychology is Mel’s passion. She is interested in stress and stress management, anger management, trauma, grief and loss, DV and drug and alcohol issues. Mel is particularly passionate about mental health and in breaking down the stigma that continues to exist with mental illness. Mel’s 4th year thesis was on stigma and client and community attitudes towards those with mental illness.

During Mel’s 5th year of training, she did placements at the Brisbane Psychology and Counselling Clinic, University of Queensland Health Care, and the University of Southern Queensland Psychology Clinic where she assessed adults and children and co-facilitated workshops on topics such as Coping with the Fear of Falling.


 Dr Jessica Nguyen – Psychologist

Jessica Nguyen is a fully registered psychologist and obtained her Professional Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical) at the Queensland University of Technology. She has gained experience through her training at QUT, Redcliffe Hospital, the Queensland Police Service, Private Practice and through a Long-Term Psychodynamic Therapy placement. She has also worked at various Correctional Facilities conducting Drug and Alcohol Workshops, has been part of developing Well-Being Resources for the Queensland Law Society and tutors in the area of Individual Differences and Assessment.

Jessica has a special interest in:

Jessica’s doctoral research explored Guided Imagery of Nature as an Intervention for Anxiety and she is currently in the process of publishing her latest research. Jessica will complete the Psychology Board of Australia’s Clinical Registrar Program in the second half of 2018.

Peter has over 20yrs experience as a Guidance Officer, working with adolescents in the school environment.  He gained Psychologist registration in 1999, and has been a registered teacher since 1978.  The main presenting issues in his workplace are stress, anxiety, depression, sleep deprivation, gaming addiction, time-management issues, family conflict/dysfunction and peer conflict.  In the school setting he also deals with educational factors which impact students eg subject/career choices/performance.  In addition he assists with verification of students with disabilities via administration of the WISC V and completion of associated report writing.  Over a number of years, he has also worked in private settings with adults presenting with PTSD, alcohol and drug use, anxiety and depression.

Dadirai  is a Registered Psychologist with 10 years of experience. Dadirai is currently completing her Doctor of Psychology (Clinical & Clinical Geropsychology). Dadirai has a passion for working with people, with the aim of improving their emotional, psychological and social well-being. Apart from her private practice, She also works as a psychologist in an acute in-patient mental health facility.

Dadirai has a keen interest in providing psychotherapy to people with severe mental health conditions and disabilities. Dadirai’s areas  of interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic illnesses, personality disorders, eating disorders, relationship counselling, grief & loss, and workplace issues.
