Dr Gary Rose:
Dr Rose graduated from Melbourne University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree, majoring in Pharmacology and Pathology. He completed Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degrees in 1984. In 1988 he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and completed his Obstetrics and Gynaecology diploma in 1991.
Dr Rose specialises in a number of general and cosmetic surgical procedures including vasectomy under local anaesthetic/intravenous sedation, fracture management, sclerotherapy of spider leg veins, facial wrinkle treatment, acne and other skin problems. He is particularly interested in more advanced skin cancer/ lesion surgery.
Dr Rose consults on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Dr Alan McCleary:
Dr McCleary graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1976. He lives locally and has four children. He is also the Municipal Officer of Health for Manningham City Council.
Scuba diving medicals, sports injuries and family medicine are his main interests.
Dr McCleary consults on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Dr John Smith:
Dr Smith graduated from Melbourne University in 1983. After gaining hospital experience for five years he commenced general practice in 1988. Dr Smith enjoys all facets of general practice. He is married with two children.

Dr Cheryl Catterall:
Dr Catterall Graduated from Monash University in 1984. She lives locally. Interests include women’s and children’s health and shared ante natal care with the Mercy and Northern Hospitals.

Dr Emma-Jane Greenhill:
Dr Emma-Jane Greenhill graduated from Monash University medical school with honours in 2003. She completed her internship in Melbourne before moving to the UK in 2005. She lived and worked in London for 5 years, completing her General Practice training there and obtaining a Diploma in Child Health from the Royal College of Paediatrics. She moved back to Melbourne in 2010, obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has been working at St Helena Mediplex ever since. She is married with 3 children. She enjoys all areas of general practice and has a particular interest in paediatrics and women’s health.

Dr Melanie Tait:
Dr Melanie Tait graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in 2000 and from the University of Sydney medical school in 2006, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian college of General Practitioners in 2013.
Melanie lives locally with her partner and 3 children and has worked at St Helena Mediplex since 2010. She has a particular interest in women’s health, paediatrics and aged care as well as shared antenatal care with the Mercy and Northern hospitals.
Dr Tait consults on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Dr Lyndia Tan:
Dr Lyndia Tan graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2004 and spent a part of her medical training in Malawi, investigating the effects of malaria in pregnant women. After graduating, she worked locally at Austin Health and Northern Health for 4 years before working in a Palliative Care centre in the UK for a year. On return, she spent a further 4 years working in the Emergency department at the Austin Hospital, giving her a unique and useful perspective into emergency and critical care. She then started specialist general practice training and obtained her Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2018. She enjoys all areas of medical practice and has a special interest in women’s health, children’s health and weight management.

Dr Jimmy Jiang:
Dr Jimmy graduated from Bond University in 2010. He completed his intern and residency year at Gold Coast hospital and has worked in a variety of medical disciplines including Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery and Rural Medicine. He returned to Victoria in 2013 and obtained his FRACGP. Since then, Jimmy has pursued interests in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, and has worked in a large Skin Cancer facility. He has also obtained a Certificate of Dermoscopy.
Jimmy’s interests also include Cosmetic Medicine. Apart from anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, he is also able to treat excessive sweating(hyperhidrosis).
Outside of clinical medicine, Jimmy is involved in medical education. He is a tutor for Melbourne University medical students and is an examiner for the College of General Practitioners.
Jimmy enjoys keeping fit, weight lifting, Brazilian Jiujitsu and music. He values spending quality time with family and friends.
Special interests: Skin cancer, excisions, cosmetic skin
Dr Jimmy is currently on paternity leave.
All the Doctors at St Helena Mediplex are on a rotational roster for Saturday mornings.
Mediplex is staffed by a full time practice manager, six part time receptionists and four part time nurses.
Our Practice Manager Wendy has been at Mediplex since 1998 and is available to assist with any inquiries Monday – Friday
Our reception team have all been at Mediplex for a minimum of seven years. They are all very experienced receptionists who are willing to help in any way. A friendly team who can always manage a smile even on the busiest of days.
Kathy has been with us since July 2002. Kathy is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Judy has been at Mediplex since August 2002 and she is available Monday – Friday for various shifts and some Saturday mornings.
Voula has been at Mediplex since December 2002. Voula is available on Monday and Tuesday evenings, Friday morning and some Saturday mornings.
Helen started at Mediplex in May 2004 and she is available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Lindy started at Mediplex in March 2017. Lindy is our “afternoon girl” and is available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings and some Saturday mornings.
Our nurses are always busy behind the scenes. They are available to help with immunisations, wound care, procedures, medicals, results and general advice.
Robin has been with us since October 2007 and she is available on a Wednesday.
Katie has been with us since March 2014 and is available on Thursday and Friday. Katie will also be available on Wednesday to assist with Aged Medicals and Chronic Disease Management.
Rachael has been with us since February 2018 and is available on Monday on Tuesday.
