North Mitcham Clinic is happy to provide excellent preventative services for our patients.  If you have any enquiries about how you can make an appointment for any of these services, please ask your Doctor at your next visit, or the Reception staff.

Asthma & Respiratory Clinic

A fortnightly clinic for our asthmatics, patients with chronic obstructive airways disease and other respiratory illness.

Judi Wicking provides excellent care for regular and new patients to the clinic and will help achieve goals.

Spirometry is available and questions about medication and treatment options will be discussed.

Immunisation and Travel Vaccination

Our practice nurses have their certification in immunisation provision.  They can assist patients with all aspects of infant and childhood immunisation as well as travel.  Patients are able to purchase their vaccinations at the clinic whilst seeing the doctor.  The practice is a registered “Yellow Fever” vaccination provder.  Any questions regarding immunisations can be directed either to your doctor or our helpful nursing staff.

Health Assessments and Aged Care Assistance

We are pleased to offer our over 75 year old patients, the yearly Health Assessment.  Julie, our nurse, will visit you in your home, review your medications and chat with you about any concerns you may have regarding your health or with accessing home services.  We routinely invite our over 75’s to partake in this service which is invaluable to patients for preventative health management.

Diabetes Education

Bridget Wilkes is our Diabetes Educator.  She is available for appointments for nutrition management and diabetes education.  Preventative measures are crucial in the management of both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.  Appointments can be made for these sessions through Reception or after consultation with your doctor.

Mental Health Consultations

North Mitcham Clinic is pleased to offer the services of our fully qualified Mental Health Nurse.  Mr. Ian Stephens is available for appointments in conjunction with your GP.  Please check with your practitioner for further information on our counselling sessions and referrals to them.
